What Is a Sponsorship?
A student sponsorship is your investment in ensuring a child receives an education. Through education, a child is given hope. Giving a child hope can change a nation. Changing a nation can watch them grow from poverty to prosperity. Your gift of $35 a month can give a child hope for their future.
Your monthly gift of $35 covers the cost of educational materials for one student, including a school uniform, textbooks, school supplies, and one hot meal every day which can sometimes be their only hot meal that day. The student also receives an excellent education from well-qualified teachers and access to free medical care.
Benefits of Being a Sponsor
As a sponsor, you will be paired with a student and will be able to watch him or her grow up and graduate from school. You will receive a card with the student’s name, along with a photo and family information. Twice a year, you will receive updates from your student, and you are able to write back to your student as well.
You may even choose to send small gifts to your student which can be delivered with one of our traveling teams. Here are some suggestions for small, packable gifts that students enjoy receiving:
